WA State Legislature bill HB1618 would remove the statute of limitations for pressing charges in the case of childhood sexual abuse. At this time, in the State of WA, a survivor has only 3 years after their abuse to bring charges. Removing the statute of limitations will allow survivors the option to seek justice and restore dignity whenever they are ready and able to do so.
